The SLAY Society is announcing a month long partnership with a few of our favourite local businesses in order to help spread awareness for glioblastoma and the support caregivers need. These local Ottawa businesses will be donating a portion of their proceeds for the entire month of May back to the Slay Society!!!
Angelic Scents was started after founder, Angela, lost her own mom to #gbm last summer. Angela already donates $1 from every candle to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada and now for the month of May will also be donating $1 from every candle sold to the Slay Society!! Order one of these beautifully scented, coconut soy candles this month and you are helping 2 charities at once, both fighting together!!! Why not stock up? And please check out the Good Vibes Only candle which 50% of its proceeds will go back to help our community’s mutual friend, Sam Morana, as he battles glioblastoma. It’s basically the candle purchase hat trick. Please ALSO check out @goodvibesonly to follow his journey and to see how he and his fiancé, Laura Pagniello have built their own Good Vibes community, giving back to the Princess Margaret hospital for brain cancer research.

"May is Brain Tumour Awareness month. This is a deeply personal post to bring awareness to an amazing cause. I hope you take the time to read, share and support local. I suffer from a benign brain tumor for which I underwent brain surgery in 2011. I had the loving support of my family, friends and colleagues to help get me through the ordeal. I have lost my mother who died at the age of 49 (just a year older than me) and my grandmother to brain aneurysm. My uncle also suffered from a brain aneurysm. So needless to say, this campaign is near and dear to me The SLAY Society Inc is announcing a month long partnership with a few of their favourite local businesses in order to help spread awareness for glioblastoma and the support caregivers need. I will share their posts over the coming weeks. I will donate a portion of each and every commission earned not only for the month of May, but for all of 2021 to support this amazing cause. I am honored to be a part of this." Rachelle Shea
